We could not have been better looked after
I had a wonderful time with Trisha and Kev on the Abel Tasman rowing tour. They are both very “low key” which made for a very relaxing holiday. Their flexibility was also great with a good mix of hard work and tailoring the day for what the group wanted.
We could not have been better looked after the great guides, the wonderful staff at the lodges and the most beautiful scenery.
Thank you both for a holiday to remember!
Fabulous Holiday
We have just completed a fabulous holiday with Rowing Tours New Zealand, spending five days/four nights in the Abel Tasman National Park. Rowing Tours New Zealand partnered with Wilsons and together they created a five day experience second to none; from the well maintained and oh so stable coastal rowing boats, to the excellent accommodation and food, and most important of all the wonderful people who made the adventure so special. I could not recommend this trip more highly.
Couldn’t recommend it more highly
I’ve just spent five unforgettable days with Trisha and Kevin, along with a fantastic group of fellow rowers, on the Abel Tasman coastal rowing tour. On the water, we enjoyed a perfect mix of relaxed rowing through endlessly stunning scenery, pausing to spot seals and even penguins, balanced with moments of real excitement as we shortened our strokes and punched through some rougher waves (“rollies”).
Off the water, the experience was just as impressive. The lodges, catering, and overall organisation were outstanding, with optional walks and swims that allowed plenty of time to relax, recharge, and connect with others—connections that will no doubt lead to future rowing adventures.
I treated myself by bringing my 20‑year‑old daughter along, which really widened the age range on the tour, and she had an equally fantastic time. It’s a testament to how inclusive, well‑paced, and thoughtfully designed this experience is. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
